MZR-1500 System

Metaullics Zinkoff Recovery (MZR) system effectively extracts valuable, reusable zinc from your zinc bath skimmings and top dross, prior to selling it to the open market.

The MZR-1500 is the latest development with in-house zinc recovery. It has been designed and built to specifications requested by large top dross volume producers such as primary and secondary metal refiners and alloy producers, continuous galvanizers and large general hot dip galvanizing groups. The MZR-1500 has an increased waste processing capacity of 1500 kg (3300 lbs). Heating chamber efficiency is upgraded with a 100 mm thickness of low thermal mass insulation in the walls and the heating source is a system of high efficiency burners.

Either gas or oil fired, this compact system is simple to operate, does not require dedicated staff and typically requires no special emissions permitting. The recovered zinc can be put directly back into your molten zinc bath. The MZR recovers most of the elemental zinc contained in the skimmings or top dross, then remaining residual can be sold to the open market.
