The gas pressure sintered silicon nitride tube is the preferred material for use in the pump leg and the Electromagnetic Pump (EMP^™) unit.

The material is a very dense ceramic with a porosity value of < 0.2%. This gives the material excellent "non wetting and corrosion resistant" properties that minimise internal particulate buildup. The tube is cut to a pre-determined length. (The tube material does not allow it to be trimmed on site with hand tools.)
